ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    93 grill in a 90

    Hey guys,
I am new to the cb7 world but i am trying to learn so please excuse me if this is a dumb question but...
Can a 93 grill work in a 90 without modification? I know the headlights differ a little and you cant do 93 tail lights into a 90 with out modifications but I like the 93 grill better.

    Thanks,

    ~Wolf

yep but it would be wise to have the 92-93 headlights to make the front look right.

Pretty much everything 90-93 accord wise will bolt into the newer or older chassis years. The whole bodyframe is exactly the same. It's just the engine, some interior/exterior & wiring components (gauges, auto belts, misc options etc) that may differ)

So yes the headlamps will go right in but another thing you will have to look for is the 92-93 bumper. The 92-93 has a upper lip in between the grille where it sits on, where the 90-91 is just flat across.

There's nothing that won't fit between 90-93 Accords. The newer headlights and bumper are best to make the grill fit properly. The tails will fit fine if you do a trunklid swap.

well seeing as i need to replace my bumper anyways (long sad story) im liking this plan. the 90 hood will work still? and about those tail lights...is there a rear deck the deletes the trunk lights? ive seen people without them but they all fabbed them. i am without a welder or i would do it that way.

They all have the lights on the lid. The 90-91s go all the way to the plate recess, and the 92-93 sedans have a space between the light and recess... 92-93 coupes go all the way (a lot of coupe guys do the sedan lid swap so they can get aftermarket lights... I personally like the stock ones best!) You'd need to do custom work for a delete.
If you can get an Ascot trunklid, you can have the plastic "light" all the way across... looks pretty cool. There was only one member on here that had that... he was selling it, but I don't know if it sold.

The hood will work with the 92-93 front end.

I'm not sure about cb's (never looked) but I've seen eg (92-95 civic) hatches with carbon fiber hatches that do an inner tail light delete by simply not including those recessed areas. MAYBE this exists for the cb7 as well. However there is a much larger support base for the eg, so I doubt it.

So in order to do this you'll need a 9293 bumper and 9293 headlights

and yes, as deev stated, to put 9293 tails on a 9091 all you need is the 9293 trunklid.
