well i had a 93 10th an 4 door come threw th other day and wanted a set of Pioneer 6 3/4" componets instaled and a pioneer 5100mp deck. so i took a few snap shots on the trust Iphone to show what MDF baffles are and to show how to install components and since the Pioneers are some of the easiest i have done period.
pioneer 6 3/4" mid

1). i took the door panel off (you can view the sticky in the beginner audio for more details) and took out the factory speakers and pods out since the 6 3/4" mids cant fit in it and lined the speaker opening with dynamat before installing the 6 3/4" MDF baffle.

(i like to pre drill all my holes so the screws sit flush and dont raise the speaker so it will have a flat surface to lay on)
2). I moved on to the tweeter location were i picked the top of the door near the locks, There is a trick i picked up on how to make a impression in the door to give the impression that the tweeter is sitting flush but that another story so after i picked a spot and measured the tweeter depth and size i cut the panel out to size.

2a). Use the supplied tools to secure the tweeter against the door panel, PLEASE!!!!! dont use super glue cause you will tear the door panel apart if you ever need to replace them or upgrade.

2b). The tweeter install

3).Now you want to find a location 4 the {passive) crossover to be installed, you want to install it in a place free of moisture, dirty etc. Since the Pioneer crossover network is so small and there is actually a protective opening in the door panel i picked this location. so i now install the mid driver to the mdf baffle.

4). Now all you have to do is hook up the tweeter thats now on the
door panel to the crossover and re-install the door and your complete.
