ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Speaker advise

Im getting ready to put in a new sound system and was wondering what type of speaker is good for the door panels of a 93 sedan. Ive gotton some in the past, put they never fit in the door panels correctly or hit the regulator and window glass.

    Thanks~

Agreed - We need more to go on than "what type of speaker is good"
How loud do you want to be? and do you want spl or sq?

Do you have a sedan or coupe, DX or EX? etc

Money isnt an issue, but I'd like to keep the orignal door panel cover over it and have it fit the orignal speaker slot. But if I do that, the magnet cant be that big, otherwise the window hits the magnet. If there is a trick Im open for other options then above. I'd want to have high vocal and sound near the front, because in the back I have a pair of 12"MTX's. Above the back seat I have Infinty 6x9's, but the bass covers the sound of the song.... so pretty much I hear just bass. No good!

            I have a 93 LX sedan.

            Thanks in advance guys!

Well..i just got some Infinity Kappa's 6 1/2 components and they sound nice and Crisp!..Pricy..but it was worth it trust me!..if to much..then you might wanna go Alpine Type R's IMO..but everybody has their own preference when it comes to Brands!..it's what you think sounds good to you.

I just installed 6 1/2 Alpine component speakers for under $100 in my 92 Accord EX 4 doors and they sound great and fit fine removing the stock plastic speaker enclosure and was able to put back the door speaker cover; of course I had to make a hole on the front upper front part of door for the tweeters.

LX and DX do not have that speaker plastic enclosure for the 5 1\2 speakers so is even easier.

If you are looking for clarity I would say Infinity Speakers man. They have never done me wrong and I have had those speakers in a late body civic and in my CB... Soon to be in the 240 once I am done with the swap.

if money isnt an issue im not gonna suggest looking into the alpine type r 2 ways, i would say infinity(but their microfiber tweeters are to damn harsh at high volumes) or diamond and focal makes some decent 2 ways

did they hit the window? Thats the main problem I have when buying them. Does anyone have a picture of there speakers on the door.. would help to give me a better picture on what to get.
