ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    4 12" in cb7

I recently purchased 2 12" duals (lol yeah duals? cheap woofer) but i got the bandpass duals with neons for 30 bucks off craigslist. then i still had my bandpass qlogic with 2 memphis pr's so i put them all in my cb7 and i will have to say its the best combo ive heard in a while. the memphis subs i got for 50 dollars. so ive got 80 bucks invested in this sound system and it is crazy, but the downer is i dont got a capacitor or capcaitors. let me know if u got any tips of what else i need. i got 120 rms 6x9 from radio shack, and pioneer 280watt door speakers. alpine head unit.

i read it twice and both times i came to the conclusion you have no amps? are you running 4 subs off your head unit?

i have a fusion bass package from best buy. i installed it myself and i noticed that my lights do dim with contant playing. i picked up a 1 farad capacitor and when i hooked it up, it made such a diffrence! al lthe bass notes were clearer and alot more solid than before. its only 1 sub but i think it peaks at 650 watts?

Hey bro 750 watts is not enough power!!! I have a 1,000 watt amp for just ONE 12" sub. Go buy more amps and you will see and hear the difference!

I'd get an optima battery or one of the similar ones that nopi sells instead of the cap. The cap is kind of like a band aid. You need to get pics up though and show us what the install looks like.

i would try running only two subs off of that 1 amp because you will push out more base

did you do the big three upgrade yet? what size power wire are you running? you don't need a cap get a good audio batt instead.

How is this a downer? Do your lights dim or something?
Caps are POINTLESS, don't bother getting one or wasting money unless you like the look of an overgrown AA battery sitting in your trunk.

My tip for ya, you can achieve better quality and louder (if that's what you're going for) sound if you invested in good equipment. And this can easily be achieved with one or two subs (not four).

jeezuz 4x 12" in a cb? i didnt know those can fit. you must be trying to shake up a neighbor hood. you might as well just invest in one w7, 1 very strong amp so you have more room to work with.

id invest in a cap since its only there to help you. 1 farad per 1000 watts. just make sure your battery is strong enough too.

With a good battery made to support audio equipment he won't need a cap.
