ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Yes.
500W is only a power rating, It doesn't dictate how loud it is.

Even more interesting would be if you stood in front of it @ 500w . . .

ha this is something I have experience with.
Look up audio pipe, they make a very solid tweeter that is 500watts max to the pair of them, literally they are like small shot put balls. Literally they were too heavy to mount horizontally without making some serious brackets. I ended up trading the pair of them I had away for some work to my last car.

The ones I had looked like this but were clearly labeled 500watts across the back

I doubt that tweeter can take 500w...

They can trust me, I installed them in my brothers blazer hooked up to a 900 watt fusion amp that also powered a pair of pioneer speakers and they definitely took 450watts with no problem and very little heating. Also my friend has a '97 accord with 6 speakers and 1 of these tweeters in every door, taking about 700 watts a door though. It all depends on how you break them in and how you use them.

That's all I needed to know. Where did he cross them? Or do they have their own filter?

I'm not sure the specifics, I never got to rip his system apart, but what I know was there are two 1400 watt american bass amps powering the doors and 2 2000watt american bass amps powering two diamond audio 12's. 4 batteries total running it all and I'm not even sure he has a crossover, I've never looked or asked, but the entire spare tire area is filled with amps and batteries and the sub box takes up the entire trunk and weighs over 125lb. The whole system is quite old and dying because it's nearly 10 years old but it's loud enough to get a noise violation ticket from some cops that were inside a starbucks as we drove by.
Oh and to make this accord even worse, there are 3 tv's, a ps2 and 18" chrome wheels and it had underglow for a long time.

That sounds like an appropriate system for him.
