ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

what kind of speakers should go up front? and in the back?

Like 2 way or 3 way? I don't really care what brand as long as they are of midway quality... just wondering what will sound the best.

I got am amp free from a buddy... so now i just need a head unit, speakers and the wiring.

          what i got

          Hey I have a Panasonic CQ C1333U (http://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-CQ-C...&s=electronics)

I like the actual dial for volume. Oh, and the blue button in the centre of the deck is nice, too. The sound is decent and the remote is a tad redundant.

I have four Sony Xplod 6.5 speakers installed. No subs, no amps.

I use my car for actual everyday-everything stuff. My trunk is always full so, no room for a sub.

One thing I may try is to install "baffles" behind each speaker to improve bass. I installed "XTC Baffles" in my company work truck behind the 6.5 inch speakers in the doors and the sound is much improved now.
          YEP. I AM Canadian.
1990 Accord EX 220,000 KM. Essentially stock with 15" alloys and chin spoiler added. K&N filter and Bosch plugs. ICE COLD A/C which I love!

1992 white EX 4 dr, 5 spd. (602,000 Kms and I JUST RETIRED IT. SO SAD!) DEC 9TH, 2005 - MAY 31, 2012. I added 229,000 kms to it. Great car!

I can't wait. I found boss speakers on this one website for $25 per pair. I don't need premium, just fresh and new

            Thanks man!

will I need a special 'insert' for the dash so one of these will fit? I may hit up fry's electronics by my house sometime because they have every kit I could think of for installing head units

i like the older alpine head units personally, super reliable and great sound quality. as for speakers, run a set of component speakers up front and 2 ways in the back (sound quality in a 3 way is not as good, regardless of what any salesman guppy tries to tell you), component speakers are generally pretty pricey, another option would be a set of 2 ways and tweeters up front...audio is something you dont want to go cheap on, you get what you pay for, but just budget yourself and build a system within your means...im sure youll be satisfied...just out of curiosity, what kind of subs are u planning on putting in??
