ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Need halp ASAP!!!! Please

I got a new h/u and tried to install it. After installing it everything, I tested it out b4 putting the dash back together. After I finished I started the car and tried to turn on the h/u but then it didnt turn on. Also it caused me auto seatbelts not to work either. I did everything right and plugged everything in correctly. What could be the problem that caused this? Please help!!! And info is greatly appreciated.

Its a fuse somewhere. look at all your fuses in your fuse box by your pedals. if not check all the fuses under the hood. check all your wires and make sure they are all right.

How would I be able to tell if a fuse is out? I checked all the wires and they seem fine. Also my alarm is messed up too. So I think its a fuse.

yeah its a fuse problem, does your domelight work? if not its the fuse under the hood, the backup fuse, if thats ok check the radio one in the driver kick

If the fuse is bad the metal part you can see in the transparent plastic will look burnt or broken.

turn yer car ON ...not running just ON

use your simple and cheap CIRCUIT TESTER which has a bulb in the handle, a needle point and a cable with a roach clip on the end....

clip the roach clip to a very good ground (unpainted metal...scraoe some paint off the brake pedal METAL part and then use the needle point on the tester to probe the fuses one by one.

              good luck dude

                ^^^^

or what Erik said.....pull the fuse box cover....read each sqaure on the inside of the cover....it tells you where and what each fuse is for(along with its power rating)

Pull the ones that apply to the general area of stuff not working and look at the top of the fuse(the opposite end of where it plugs in)

It will have a metal tab...if its broken or burnt it probably should be replaced.

Thats about all i can think of.

I blew my 15a fuse under the hood reinstalling my pass side visor and the following stopped working:

hazards, int setting on wipers, dome light, radio.

So just get in there and check all the fuses if you have to and if they are all fine time to pull that radio out....it might be grounding out somewhere.

If there was left over wires after the headunit install and some of those wires were tapped or are touching eachother it could cause this to happen. May want to check those wires.

I taped all the loose ends so nothing should be touching. It was working when i tested it out at the beginning but when i screwed everything back up and tested it again it stopped working. I even changed the fuse in the kicker panel but nothing happened. Does anyone know it the fuse to the radio is the same as the auto seatbelts?

I would double check those wires, its happened to me before, when you shove the radio back in most of the time it will move the wires around and some may end up touching.
