My buddie had a 3rd gen, he got it for like $500. Lots of good times in that car.

That's a 2nd gen. 82-85 was the 2nd gen. 86-89 was third. The engines are pretty much the same, though.

That looks to be in great shape. If you get it, restore it... don't drive it as a beater. That's too nice to be a beater! The seller also says it's not good for a daily driver, so you'd be looking to fix it right away.
