ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Sad to hear the bad news stock4now.
Good thing is, you're well enough to see another day!

What are the contingency plans now that the wagon is totalled?
Another wagon or sell the parts and get a whole other car?

It is all stock with like 250ish on it... I was planning on doing the $50 paint job, got all the stuff for the auto to 5 speed down to the very last bolt, bought new shocks for it, got a blown H22 with Eagle H-Bean rods which I planned on building with Mahle Gold series 11.5:1 CR pistons.... I just wanted to show people how an old beat-up grand-ma can get overhauled, and be in mint condition with a little more ponies under the hood, but oh well.

The way it happened is that the guy in a pick-up truck kept hitting the brakes, like on and off, but wasn't really slowing down. So, I kind of got tired of that and wanted to switch lanes, merge left. Well, I quickly looked at my blind spot and when I turned back (looking forward), guy's truck was really slowing down hard, it tooke me a moment to realize that... So, I quickly merged left, and the car got sideways a little bit, I let off and countersteered left and right like 5 times..... And at some point it just ended up facing the wall ( the devider on the highway), and at that moment I realized I couldn't really do much, I mean I could have made the car spin in circles by not counter steering at that last moment, but I would have ended up in the middle of the highway, where I would have definatelly met with the semi and a whole bunch of other cars.... So, I optioned out for the wall, and at that moment I was like "Ok, here we go......" bang and tire scretch, ended up on the highway, a semi barely missed me, and I quickly pulled the car behind the solid white line and parked next to the wall.

So, that's the story, called 911, and I said that I just damaged my own car and I'm Ok, and that I'll take care of the towing myself, and they said "Ok, no problem, we will cancel the firetruck and the police unit..." which were on the way out already because I whole bunch of people pulled over and started calling 911, and they watched me closely. I come out of the car and I'm like "I'm Ok..." So, no problems, no tickets, no people injured, so overall I'm kind of happy, but that was my 1st car that I totaled.
Sorry for the long post, but I just had to vent a little bit.

I ended up paying $1200 and giving up my CB9 for a 2000 Civic EX 5 speed. It has a blown D16 in it, but they are cheap and easy to find, and I'll try to keep it stock, since I already have another money pit DSM, hopefully high 9's this summer, but we will see.
Thanks to all of you, it was cool being a part of this community! Keep an eye out for the classifieds, since I have a few things that I need to get rid of now.

Well, it isn't worth pulling the frame.... I mean the damage dosen't look too bad, but once the frame is "jacked" it's really not worth fixing it, unless it was some new rare car.

As far as the little weak civic, well it's going to make me some money, and I'll have something to get around. Besides it makes just as much power, less torque though, as the Accord, and it weights less.

I also realized that you can't really have a fast car and daily drive it, you can make it street legal, but not really practical to drive it. So, as far as DD pretty much anything will do. That's how unfortunatelly how my DSM is no longer my DD, but other than that it's a fun fast car, especially w/o front axels it just does a massive burnout
