ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Shell Or Runing???help!!!

Well ive decided to ask the expert people on what would CB7tuner do??? Im in the verge of buying a cb7 as my project. I am offerd a 90 accord ex 5speed with a no compression engine for $400 its in good condition outside and inside. My second option is a 92 accord ex 5speed with 270k and its in running condition i know the guy and his taken good care of the car. Its been in many long trips to california and utah a couple of times and never broke down. His asking $800 maybe less. All it needs is paint work. What would yall choose in my scenario. I would really appreciate everyones opinion!

why not buy both? make a DD and a track car.... or slap in a motor and sell it to make a nice profit and put towards the other car...

Paint is pretty expensive, if you have it done the right way and can't do it yourself. I would buy the broken down one, and do a K or H swap. Start a build thread and track the progress.

Yea i know its a good idea and a good deal too thats what i wanted but im low on money and only could afford one. Im trying my best to get at least the $1200 for both but i doubt i would. More likely il be ending up with the 92 since its running. The only thing for paint i can do is sand it down.lol The typical. I barely sent out applications to some jobs since my recent job closed and its hard not having a job. Id probly be posting pics of a primered 92 and a F22B 90 on here but only if i had a job. But ill try and do my best on getting both i can only cross my fingers. Im like stressin out here.lol

personally, i like '92s better than '90s. plus, you could drive the 92 home... or to the shop... or to anywhere. the 90 will be a project right off the bat.

Yea man i know the 92 is in good condition i would take the car to california and come back and i know it wont let me down its that reliable even tho it has 270k but it still runs strong.

Your right man. Yea im fixing to get the 92 cb7 with 272k soon. I test drove it today and man does it pull hard and quiet. It has the F22A6! Yea it needs minor body work and a paint job but that dont matter. Interior is pretty clean tho!

I would say get the '92 because the 92-93 body looks better. Depending on how much money you have, in the future you can paint it, get an H22 engine, and you'll be set! Good luck! -JOSH-

i would say go with the 90. The problem with a non-running car is that its hard to determine what it really needs because you can't test drive it. But if it has been sitting over a year, dont touch it.
