ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    4.

It's a gift from the gods. I'm surprised you haven't heard of it. It will make your car superior to anything on the road. You'll be seeing ferrari's in the rear view.

I'm not going to argue about it. I've driven both and that's my experience.

here i found this post that kinda explains what i mean. Either way the TL is a great car and no matter what car you get anything can be changed, especially suspension.

        ----------------------------------------------------------------------

"I own a 2006 TL (purchased new) with automatic, 17" stock wheels. After 1,000 miles I went back to the dealer, Ron Tonkin Acura, Portland, Oregon to see how to upgrade the driving experience. I had driven an Integra ('91) which was a sporty little car, though I just gave it to my nephew with 145,000 miles I still loved it to the end. The TL is another story. I put the A-Spec suspension kit (shocks & springs) on the vehicle. I did not purchase any other components and from my investigations Ron Tonkin was the only dealer who would do this. Most wanted the whole A-Spec kit which is too much money. The results: Reduced the floating feeling at highway speeds, much more sporty feeling with a little harsher ride, due in part by the increased tire pressure recommended to me of +4 pounds over factory psi recommendations for front and rear tires.A number of people reviewing tires at TireRack.com site commented that added tire pressure improved handling. A friend of mine who owns a wheel shop advised same to me. Was it an improvement? Yes, but it still feels sloppy at highway speeds when accelerating in a curve and you hit a bump or when getting off a freeway that has a curved exit. From comments about tires, not many people like the factory Bridgestone Turanza EL42 tires, which my car came with ,though everyone seems to have their own favorite tire. The one thing they had in common was that the Turanza was too soft, flexing too much when pressed. Many said they were garbage. I concur completely. It's been years since I had a BMW, purchased new, but I remember I loved the road feel in the steering. The TL doesn't feel solid at highway speeds and I drive 75-80 most of the time. Even with 18" wheels I still see car reviews describing the new 2007 TL/TL TYPE S as front heavy 60/40 front/rear distribution. My guess is, the guy who wrote that he drives a Porsche 911, and his wife the TL, is correct when he says you will never get it to have a true road-handling feel due to front wheel drive. My verdict is the same. I want to love my TL as the fit and finish is superb as is the transmission. I feel very attuned to what my car is doing most of the time. I would never again buy an automatic, though it is quick. Until ACURA adds AWD or goes RWD they are not going to capture the BMW loyalist, nor satisfy the ACURA loyalist who wants that spirited driving feel. Lastly, the sport suspension will lower the vehicle about 3/4". The springs and shocks are approx 30-40% stiffer, enough to make a difference and if you have better tires than the Turanzas, you might be happier than I am. "
Who the fuck is arguing? I asked a question. Jesus Christ.

I simply made the comment that everything I drove on that platform has been fine.

All you do is argue. duh. As if you like conversations. haha.

I've never driven a TL but I've ridden in one and driven an 06 V6 Accord EX and both felt very stable and impressively smooth. Too smooth for my liking, but nonetheless I'm surprised by the statement. I'm not arguing as I'm sure you've had more experience but it's an interesting point of view.

I never found them to be "unstable" or "floaty." Obviously they are no BMW 3 series with a sport package or anything, but they aren't exactly a 70's Cadillac either.

Perhaps it was just the fact that it was nearly 500lbs heavier than his CB the first time he drove it, and the weight balance IS nose heavy. For the record, the distribution is about the same as the CB7, there is just a whole lot more of it.

And yes, our 2006 feels nose heavy in a lot of situations too, but not "unstable."

Yeah. It's always harder to push a car you're not familiar with. Hell I'd take the CB around corners faster than my dad's mx-5 miata just because I was comfortable with the car. This doesn't make the cb a better handling car though.

Nose heavy ftl. BMW balance ftw.

If you want REAL handling prowess, drive a 1977 Cadillac Coupe De Ville with a 502. All that hubcap coming off stuff you saw in 70's and 80's movies? Yeah, that shit was real.

I like the TSX, but to me the TL is just better looking, it has WAAAY more power, and nicer features. Plus, they actually aren't that much larger than the TSX. Mostly just wider.

I drove my friends Chevy Nova. I hated it, even if it was semi quick and sounded beastly I felt scared just making a low speed turn or trying to stop.

I agree with the above though. TL for the win. Or if you have deep pockets for maintenance 5 series for the win. I drove a 2001 528 and I will never again question the cost of a BMW. Unbelievable.

Anyways I'm pulling this off topic. TL or bust.

tl or tsx, depends on looks i would say to make the decison, cause 200hp from the tsx is plenty enough, but as long as its not a 2008-2009 model, the redesign looks shit!!!
