ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

no email notification from subscribed threads

Not sure where to post this so here I go.

For some reason, I am not getting any emails sent from any of the threads that I subscribe to. I have my settings to receive mail and the subscriptions are set to "instant".

I DO receive email notifications when I get a PM, but not for the subscribed threads.

Does anyone else have this problem? Can someone help me out?

In the user CP, Go to "list Subscriptions" on the left side panel
You will see all your subscribed threads with a box next to them.
Tick the threads you want email on then at the bottom of the screen click the "selected threads" drop down.
And select "Instant email notification, then the go button

Email notifications have been disabled for bandwidth reasons. It KILLS bandwidth... and ends up costing quite a bit of money. Unfortunately, I have not been able to figure out how to remove the option for email notifications.

Just go to your UserCP, and it will show all updated threads since your last visit.

Really? Maybe it was set back to being active with the update... which means it's been active for quite some time... I guess the guys at Pandemic Hosting don't hate me!

            I probably SHOULD disable it.

Matt did say bandwidth usage increased considerably... maybe that's when. He said he'd have to raise the rates. Hasn't yet, but we shall see.

ok. I have done as evil_demon_01 has stated although they were already set to "instant". We'll see if it works or if it is off as deevergote has mentioned. This thread is one that I have set to instant notification.

                    Lets see if it works.

I have my email set to automatically delete anything sent by me, including things from this site... so i won't bother even trying. All I get are the emails sent by people that have problems with the site.

                      It didn't work.

I do want to add that I get an daily update for a forum thread, but not for individual threads.

What do you mean by "for a forum thread, but not for individual threads" ?

The easiest way to see all subscribed threads with new posts, is as Deev said by going to Control panel.

you can subscribe to a forum the same you subscribe to an individual thread. the only difference is the only option you get for notification is daily email update. i do get those.

the main reason i would like to get the email updates is that its easier to follow stuff as the email goes straight to my phone. especially when you have a thread and people are positing replies to it. right now i have no real internet connection to speak of so getting online and going to the control panel takes a bit of effort.

no worries, though. i can live with it.

For every thread you post in, yes.
