JDM chrome trim tail lights, nice. 2.0 si badge, jdm 90-91 foglight, jdm 1 piece headlight with chrome trim, JDM OEM window vent shades, chrome trim side mouldings all around..... 4 wheel steering, oh what?!

Since those cars are vastly more abundant over there than they are here our opinions are useless. Everyone of us here just about would love to have that car. Whereas you may have the option between that one and a similar one that you could compare. Do you have any other options? If not, then this is a good buy at $1000. You could probably make that money back two-fold parting it out on here. That is, when you have enough posts.

:O im shattered my parents said no more cars rofl we could squeeze it in, and plus my cb7 currently needs over a grand worth of stuff atm which means in 1year and 3 months i have spent around $8500 on my cb7 not including fuel :/

Its a legit jap import.

The dash says it all.

But still ... not as good as the Jap Import CB currently on my drive way (hope to add another one)

This one is not the final year model and it doesnt have top spec accessories like air bag, mags, spoiler.... yada yada yada which my current JDM model has and much much more.

Because i have spent $8500 in a little over a year and it still needs at least 1k worth of shit and when i needed it most for a funeral it let me down and i will never forget that... However i should of kept my previous car a 98 hilux with new head, water pump and major service (done by toyota) i feel so dumb i thought i made the right decision :/

I feel your frustration, esp with hard times like we are having.

However its not just $$$$ spent but what its spent on. How much of that $8500 actually pertains to you spending unnecessarily suggesting you have bought a lemon (repairing the same thing multiple times) or a badly engineered car.

For $8,500 you must have either mosty paid other people (not DIY) to do the work for you (wasting paying them labour) or you have a huge wish list to get it up to the stage you want (not just the necessary to restore the car).

$4,000 ($8,500 less a respray of say $4,500) for DIY goes a long long way (and thats a near new looking car).

My dad's one also let me down (to go out for a family annual gathering during Xmas break)

But its the reality of owning a second hand car (even a brand new one can have warranty problems).

Come on man, do you think that would prevent any future problems on the toyota? You could also be stranded with it needing a new distributor, computer or even a tranny.

As bullet proof as Honda and the CB can be it is still a car (needing $$$$ not just $$ to run it) and bad timing for a repair can hit anyone.

Just look at Subaru (head gasket problems) on cars newer than our CB and still some have that issue on cars that are only a few years old and not even 100k on them (a baby compared to our 20 to 24 yrs with 99% of engines currently on CB's on the road still originals)!!
