ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    I think it's time

As the title states, I may be getting out of the Honda scene. I found a 98 S10 Blazer, it has a 4 inch lift, solid axle swap in the front. I need something bigger and that I can stuff more bass in. I'm going to put my car back to stock and trade. I'll be keeping my F&F suspension, rims and tires, Optima battery, ALL the wiring/electrical and amps. I don't really want to get rid of my car, but, sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do.

Here is the Blazer I'm looking at.

By "gotta do what ya gotta do" are you implying that you have no choice but to find a larger vehicle that you can outfit with an obscene amount of subwoofers?
My Members' Ride Thread - It's a marathon build, not a sprint. But keep me honest on the update frequency!

Looks good. Do you know who did the SAS? You better check it out thoroughly if not.

Well, I just had a baby, my step son is 6 foot 7 and with the Accord, it's just not big enough for the family to go anywhere together. I'm finally getting weekends off, so, I'd like to be able to do something. And the "obscene amount of bass" won't come for a while.

As for the SAS, he's going to call me later and give me the low down on all of that. I'll have my mechanic check it out and make sure it's good to go. Don't need something breaking down on me and leaving me stranded, especially if the baby is in the car.

Well, the only time I really drive anywhere other than work is on the weekends, so, the gas mileage wouldn't be an big issue.

And I want to be able to go to the lakes and what not around here, it's got some AWESOME scenery. And this way, I can tow a 4 wheeler or 2. I'm going to look at it on Sunday and if everything works out, I'll be bringing it home with me.

Yep, wears a size 15 shoe and he's only 17. I wish he had SOME sort of interest in sports, but, he has ZERO interest in ANY sport. It's sad, really.

Those things aren't known to be terribly reliable, and a modified one could be even more questionable... or it could've been very well maintained...

Either way, I'd keep the Accord as a second car. You're going to HATE the gas mileage of a truck, especially a lifted one! Get the truck, stuff as much bass as you want into it, keep it in great shape... and keep the CB for when you don't feel like spending $3.50 every 10 miles!

I had a Jimmy with the 4.3 vortec. Had 60k on it, still was always breaking down on me. Friend has a 97 S10 Blazer 4.3l, he works on it more than he drives it. I got two other friends with bagged S10s, one LS1 swaped, and hes still wreching on it all the time. The other is putting a new rear end in tonight. It sucks because the 98+ body style looks pretty good IMO.

I agree that it looks good. Actually, I don't think there's a generation of Blazer that I don't think looks great, and I'm not a truck guy!

Still, my GM experience tells me that it's always best to have another car handy. I had a Cavalier commit electrical suicide, a Grand Prix GTP that preferred to wear its oil on the outside... and my current car, which I just bought... hopefully it will last! BUT I have 3 Hondas to back it up (one that runs... )

My 04 Colorado is a POS as well... 3.5l inline 5 cylinder . Good mpg but i have to clean the TB every 3k or it fills up full of carbon and throws a code.

nine _deuce good luck with the Blazer man! If there is a good one out there i hope you get it!
