ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Hey From The Land Down Under.

    Hey Guys.

I've been on this forum for a little while now basically ever since i bought my cb7 exi accord . Looks to be such a great community here and can only envy the amount of cb7 modders in the U.S! They simply do not exist here at all... All you see over here in Australia is civics/integras from the honda side which reside in the bigger cities and everything else is just a mix of imports and over exagerrated heavy weighted "muscle cars". Anyway... Basically my accord had a bit of a dodgey up as it was my daily and was glad to drive it at the time. Now due to recent circumstances with the radiator being cracked/leaking water i've had to put it in the shed. I've got numerous other cars also.. with a h22 vtec prelude (donor car), f22 prelude (to fix up and sell of) and lastly my mitsubishi starion turbo (my backup car to drive around but meant to be my drift car in the future).

Anyway so basically i plan to eventually turbo the h22 vtec once i've completely done the swap thanks to the info on these forums and pump some decent boost into her.. but trying to keep it reasonably daily reliable. One concern i haven't decided on yet is to whether do the h22 vtec swap into my cb7 as it is.. get it driving and phase out any issues there may be left. Before the engine swap though the front end needs to be tidied up a bit and hence make the swap alot roomier to fit. But yeah can't decide on whether to turbo before h22 gets into the cb7 or do it later as the h22 vtec in the accord should be a decent upgrade from the f22 auto thats in it. Because basically it comes down to the fact that my starion is a 30yo car and being a daily.. is a bit risky.. but has lasted me the last week or so lol.

Anyway any advice people can give me on the easiest path to go would be appreciated..! Always loved my honda's and how they are so different here.. so now im more active on these forums i hope to be able to post in other sections of this forum as currently am unable to....

    Let the games begin.

    Daniel.

I'd take a step further back and say that you should get all the bugs worked out while you have the factory Accord engine in there. Get the issues fixed and get to a point that you have a well-running, reliable car. Then swap the engine.

Yeah well the only issue at the moment would be to replace the radiator. The rest of it is actually pretty sweet.. Previous owner was a old person and it was reasonably taken care of until they had a bit of a hit in the front... Really once the front end is fixed and dead straight again everything would be sweet on it. Thats why i was thinking about doing the h22 swap when i fixed up the front end.. As it would need to be welded in place.. then painted and such..

Thinking about drilling/cutting the old radiator support panel thats on there.. and Welding a second hand/new support on there.. and then fix current radiator or buy another one... Needs to be done as my daily is needed more then ever with my other car starting to show signs of issues.

Whats peoples thoughts on a civic type half radiator into our accords and run a maradyne 12" fan? Be enough for our cooling system in regards to n/a.. then eventually boosted? Reason for this is obviously for more room to have a bigger turbocharger or external gate pipe/exhaust manifold etc.

Lots of the turbo guys on here do it. Just check out some of their member's rides threads. You'll find all the answers to your power questions by browsing around in there, too.

Reading the rules would be wise as well. The first "on topic" post I saw from you was asking where to buy a part. You're going to get yourself banned very quickly if you do not follow the rules.

Quite a few. A good amount from New Zealand, as well (one NZ member is a valued moderator here.)

Alot of the Aussie and NZ members come and go, pretty quickly at that.

That only "Aussie List" I really know of is this one - http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=150161

Yep, Aussie gets it's own dedicated regional section . . . Wheres NZ at?

I was going to say it's a continental thing, but I was smart and looked it up first... I didn't know New Zealand wasn't part of the Australian continent! I learneded something!
If we ever had enough members from either, we could always create a New Zealand region... but for the moment, NZ and Australia are most closely related to each other. You guys are like the USA/Canada of the other side of the world!
