ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

thanks for 338000 miles its in great shape its got rust in the quarter that's bubbled up and the windshield is cracked but that's a problem being fixed this weekend and yea the f22b can fit h series parts just got to swap heads and do a few things like a piston and crank for a better compression idk if the other f series are the same

Yes you can use the VTEC head from many different engins; F22B1 VTEC, F23A VTEC, H23A1 VTEC, F20B VTEC and H22A VTEC. There are a few things you need to swap over and add but it has been done many times.

A key thing to remember is that you have to remove the oil control orifice from the non VTEC block in order for oil to flow freely into the swapped VTEC head. Just thought that I would throw that out there!

VTEC headswaps are notoriously unreliable. The SOHC VTEC heads offer very little gain over the non-VTEC F22A head (5-10hp tops.) DOHC VTEC heads will be wasted, due to the block's low-compression and low redline. Not to mention the blocked off oil passages, the mismatched head gasket, the mismatched bore and combustion chamber diameter... The only good reason to do a VTEC headswap is if you have a bunch of spare parts laying around, and you want to play Dr Frankenstein. If you actually want the engine to last, and you want proper performance from it, go with a matched block and head.

Now you can go ahead and delete this thread for being "not helpful".

I would recommend to you- modify your attitude- before modifying that car. You can always talk about your plans- but realize- you are doing it in public, and everyone has an opinion.

A lot of what you want to know is here, and search-able. But everything Deeve said to you is true, technically.

This is a thread about your ride, and if you want to swap it- do what real enthusiasts do, and research.
