As long as your cool no one will mess with you but if you flame some one, whore up posts, use racial, sexual, or negative slang youll most likley be banned. Usually a day or two up too a week or maybe permantley depending on your offense.

Shouldnt really worry but it is good to be informed.

Don't be disrespectful, and you won't be banned. Simple as that. Don't insult anyone. Don't attack anyone. Don't throw around racial, religious, or sexual slurs (including anything referring negatively to homosexuality). Don't say negative things about another member's car.

Also, participating in any argument that goes beyond the limits of the rules will most likely result in a ban. The moderators and myself do not care to be put in a position to decide who is right and wrong... so EVERYONE involved in a fight here on the forums will be banned. Simple as that.

Most bans are temporary. If you find that you've been banned, clear your cookies in your internet browser (so you can view the board as a guest) and look for your last few posts. You'll probably see an explanation there. You WILL be banned permanently if you're banned many times in a short timeframe, or you commit a serious offense.

Finally, the Beginner Forums are intended to be a safe haven for new members, and members that may be a bit behind the rest in terms of automotive knowledge. Those members should feel comfortable posting ANY question in the Beginner Forums without the threat of insult from those that have more experience. Therefore, any "flaming" in the beginner forums by non-beginners will be dealt with severly. A week ban is the norm for a first offense here.
