ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

If you spend $70 on a DIY intake, you've spent WAY too much. You could buy a real AEM short ram for that!

Yeah. There were a lot of them that were cheaper when I bought mine. But, mine was the cheapest one that didn't require PayPal.

either way long story short -

no need to do a diy that will cost you 60-70 beans when you can get a nicer looking short ram for 50.

New, yeah... $100 plus shipping is the norm for AEM short ram intakes. But it's a pipe, and a reusable filter. As long as they aren't damaged, used is just as good!
BLAM! Actually, that's even beter... CAI with a bypass valve installed... $85 shipped as of now. Someone get it!

I don't really care about brand names when it comes to an air intake. You're going to get about the same result in about 90% of intakes whether you're spending $30 or $200.

The link you posted was for a 98-02. But, maybe I'm dumb and it fits.

Dammit... Yeah, I read the wrong thing. The AEM one above that one was $133 in my search.

Still, AEM filters are about $25 shipped on ebay (not going to link, there are a million of them). And any cheap pipe will work.

Which I do! Well... my ex does... but I still technically own it!

I'm not putting an intake on her car though. Screw that!

I got my A-Spec short ram for about $25 shipped and picked up a Spectre Performance filter for about another $20 on sale at Pep Boys. Under $50 for a good quality intake setup.
