Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Im' A Dumbass

    ok.so my engine isn't firing on one cylinder.so the first thing i did was pull off all the spark plugs from the distributor.now,i dont' remember the order they go back in .can someone show me a diagram or a close up picture of which goes where?

    edit:haha.i bought a new distributor,spark plugs,and spark plug wires.i didnt' just pull em off for no reason.

        eVERYTHING is in the bible of the Haynes. Look it up.

          Haynes is garbage... but that IS one thing that they show pretty clearly, at least.


          You got a new distributor. Did you set your ignition timing properly with a timing light? Are you SURE you didn't put the distributor on backwards, causing it to fire out of order (shouldn't be able to... but I've seen crazier things done)

            I love my haynes... its my bible... but ihaave yet to get one for the accord.

              The only manual I have is my Haynes. It's what helped me build my engine.

                  CAN SOMEONE SHOW ME A PICTURE OF THE WIRES IN ORDER ON THE DISTRIBUTOR? just like a side close up so i know where they go.

                    Very easy to remember, dont even need a book

                    This is your engine cylinders when you are looking at it standing in front of your car:

                    [distributor] #4 #3 #2 #1

                    Plug wire from cylinder #1 goes into the distributor hole that is closest to you(front of the car)

                    Then plug the other wires into the distributor,
                    You will be going CLOCKWISE in order #1, #3, #4, #2 beause that is the firing order

                          nah not at all.i had them memorized with something like that,then didn't change em for a longgggggggg time(to long)and forgot it
