ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

yup, the only way to find out is to race it. There are a ton of factors that effect time, but I would say between 16's and mid 17's. That's the range, but like I said the only way to find out is to go out and try it

just got back from the strip

ok, just got back from Richmond Dragway.

1st run i ran a 17.01, horrible launch and i missed third.... so a few more

by the end of the night. i ran my best time. 16.6135 @ 84.87 mph

      .2349 reaction
      2.5296 60' time
      7.03 330' time
      10.75 1/8 mile
      65.93mph 1/8 mile speed

That was a really good launch and flawless shifting.

It was my first time ever racing at a strip so i'd say not to bad. The only thing is... i don't see where i could improve but so much. I MIGHT MAYBE be able to squeez another tenth out. MAYBE.... and i had all my trunk stuff out tonight. i did have my spare tire in. So any ideas?

The passenger seat weighs a lot... and is held in by 4 bolts. Yank it. Spare tire as well. Have someone go with you to the track, and keep important things in their car, like your spare and jack. Especially if you drive any distance to get there (I have the luxury of having Atco raceway only 30 minutes away... and it's even closer to my mom's house)

Get good tires. Make sure they're properly aligned.

there is always room for improvement... you might feel like your launch and shifts were perfect but they probally really werent lol idk.. hard to say for me not really being there.. but also you can work on gettin your reaction time down as well.

            goodluck with next time.

dont worry about your reaction time. the time doesnt start till your car starts moving. work on your launch, and get your sixty footer down
