ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    warp factor 2

hey peeps i have a horror story for u. how about buying a new set of brembo front rotors to only have them on for about 2hrs. when u learn that ur caliber is stuck open and the heat from driving warps the rotors.. so there goes $35 down the drain. now back to square 1.

X2 brakes are a SAFETY item, they should be double checked and triple checked when work is carried out, before driving.
And hey at least $35 is small change
BTW $35 sound's very cheap for brembo rotors.

I got my Vigor Brembo Blanks for $40 each online, Genuine Brembo quality, not a knock off. But is that 35 a piece or 35/pair?

              Wow.
Not that i don't believe you, just that over here you'd be very very lucky to find them for under $100.

I got them off here: Import Replacement Parts $32 each for the OEM Accord rotors and I guess the price went up for Vigors, $44.99 each for those

I got both my Vigor rotors shipped for like $98-99....GENUINE BREMBO!

as a comparison, Powerslot slotted rotors are $60.53 each for the Accord, and sadly, they don't make them for the Vigor upgrade I just did, so I had to go w/ blanks...which I don't totally regret in doing.

Losiracer2 , when you replaced your accord calipers with those Vigor ones, which Accord calipers did you have before? Akebono or Nissin?

Theres a '94 Vigor i think sitting right there right now that i can get the calipers and the rear disks off of right now but they are all Nissin but i've got the Akebono's so that won't work will it?

I had the Akebonos paired up w/ Hawk HPS pads. My new Vigor Calipers are Nissins and they bolted up exactly where the old ones went.

After i swapped for my sport rotors and pads, one f my calipers seized up while driving. I didnt notice it till i stoped at a 7-11 for some change. it was SMOKING... the disc was starting to turn red..... i thought ffs... more money down the drain. i let it cool down, without using any kind of water on it, replaced the caliper (in the parking lot... lmfao) and was on my way, I have NO vibrations on the brakes, none whatsoever. I can do 160 KPH, hit the brakes, and there is NOTHING vibrating from the brakes.

                          rotors

i got the brembos from a friend of mine who upgraded to a set of powerslots all the way around. the brembos was never put on. yea when i went to a friends house i notice smoke and it had a smell i was like damn, then after that it started vibrating..that really messed up my week. today i went and purchased calibers all the way around front and back. and replaced my rotor with another brembo, theres a guy here who can get them dirt cheap, dont ask dont tell. i'll everything on dis saturday. why replace one when u have 3 others that can go out at anytime and cost me more money, besides i have to bleed the system anyway so why not go ahead and do it now to get it out da way. man u got off lucky by just changing the caliber and no problems and i work on other vehicles as a hobby so i have done brakes before on my truck, motocycle, and other vehicles before and they were fine. but what i notices was that they were stuck for a while when i changed the rotors they did grab b-cuz the rotor showed wear from the pads i guess i finally gave up and froze. im glad it stayed open and didnt freeze up in the close position.
