ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Changing Oil Seals Question

I need your help guys. I am currently changing my timing belt, water pump and as what everybody recomends, the front engine oil seals.(cam, balancer shaft and crankshaft seals) This is my first time doing it. I think I will be able to manage the timing belt, balancer belt and waterpump. My problem is the front engine seal. Do I need a special tool to instal the new seals on or I can just use my hands to put/press the new ones in? I don't want to pull out the old ones and then not being able to put new ones in because I dont have the special tool. I've tried searching but I can't find any related thread about it. I have the front engine disassembled already and this is the only step that keeping me from putting it back together. I would just leave them alone but, I can see them starting to sweat a litlte oil around them. I realy need your help on this so I can put my car back together again.
    Thank you very much

the hradest part would be taking the old one out without nicking the crank. i put the new one back in with a hammer and socket to set it flush with the housing.

i'm currently changing my own timing belt/water pump as well. I'd also like to get some information on replacing the seals.

I've been looking on hondaautomotiveparts.com (majestic) but I can't seem to find the right parts. maybe Honda identifies them with a different name but can anyone provide a picture or part number for these seals?

I think there is a special tool but when then honda tech did mine I think he also use a socket to push it in.
