ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

I have a 93 lx. just to get that out of the way. lately if i go for a short drive(long enough for the car to get warm) and i shut it off for a short time. (5 min.) it wont restart. it just sputters but wont kick over. it will sometimes work if i give i some gas while im cranking it over but not always. if anyone has some ideas let me know. im sick of looking like a jackass... thank you in advance

most likely the main relay.....lemme ask you this, when you turn the key to the ACC position, do you hear a click?

If you don't then your fuel pump isn't engaging and thats controlled by the main relay.

there's a DIY repair in the DIY section where you can just resolder the points on it and it'll work again.

well w/ injectors you can take a long Screwdriver and put the metal end up against each injector and hear if they're making a clicking sound. Thats how you know they're firing.

For the fuel pump, idk, I would just listen for the click when you turn the key to the ACC position.

Actually the click is the relay, the fuel pump makes a faint "whuuuuuuurr" sound.
                    wat?

ok i had the same problem last summer. it was my distributor. was your rpms sparatic when you drive sometimes? it may just be the cap and rotor need to be cleaned or replaced. that is what i had to to my 92lx and my friends 90dx. so take the cap and rotor of and see if the prong are dirty. then clean them. but you should replace them.

if you have eny problem ask me.
                        back at it again

                          hmm,

about a month ago, stopped hearing the "clicks/humming" of the fuel pump when the key is in the ACC position. so today i checked the main relay again, nothing was wrong with it. i'm guessing its the fuel pump, but i have no idea where its located and/or the procedures to replace it.

                          pls. help
                          -thanks

they're just above the intake runners, those 4 metal things pointing down towards the cyl. head at like a 45* angle. There's a metal fuel rail across the top of them.
