ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Holy Crap I Redlined My Car!!!!

ok so i was racing my car and going to fourth gear i redlined it and i let go of the gas and it let off on me...it started going slower and slower even though i was pressing on the gas...it was like..im guessing its called bogging? well anyways it came to a stop and i let it sit there for like 3 min and i got it going again and it does it still...what can it b? hopefully its not serious

ps i redlined it on accident cuz my rpms dont work

How many miles on engine? How does it idle now?
My slightly educated thought is it caused valve float, and some number of valves and pistons had met. Especially considering it sounds like the first time you've revved the engine that high.

How do you know it was redline if your tach isn't working? Plus it's a swap, so redline is different than your f22aX. I think you just hurt that engine, brother. You could have wrapped her up to 8K or more. Lroy, you are killing your cb7. Try to get a littlle more knowledge, experience and work done on your car before you race it again.

        i know whats wrong

swap your F22a back into your cb and work on that til you learn all that you need to know about your motor. THEN swap the H in. to me you dont seem to have any knowledge of your car. you need to learn more before you try to go fast. you swapped in your motor and tried racing it on oil that came in it. wtf?

dude. before you race or even drive your car again, stay up here for a few hours looking up info you need to know about your H. not trying to be mean but its going to help to keep you from running into blowing your motor up within the next week.

people like you give tuners a bad name. Your the reason all the american muscle guys think we don't know shit about cars and making them faster.

Did you hit Redline or the fuel cut off? b/c you can't see redline if you dont' have an rpms reader... or as most intelligent people would call it a tachometer.

Did you even take the advice of the knowledgable people here and change the oil on that engine or are you still trying to race witht he oil it came in?

in your situation the best bet is to bring the car to someone who knows a thing or two about engines and have them diagnose it

ya..other then what these guys said..fuel pump/fuel pump relay??...my car wont even start unless i tap the relay while i turn the key just to get enough fuel to start the car lol idk....neeed to fix!!
and when my pump was going out it would just die while i was driving and i'd have to let it cool down a bit before starting..
