ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

car won't start after stalling or under sun for long time

I have a 91 accord ex, sometimes it will crank but won't start if it seat under the sun for like couple hours or right after stalling it.

I thought it could have been main relay heating, so I have removed cruise control box and drill holes on the relay box. The relay didn't seem to have crack or burned.

I have replaced plug, wire, cap, rotor, and the coil recently. so I'm guessing it is either the fuel problem or some electrical gremlin hiding somewhere.

Need ideas on where the problem is, I will thank you in advance

Just to clear somethings up, the car runs fine and it is in running condition. Just that when it seats under the sun or stalls, for like 5 minutes i get only crank no start. <_<

You need to actually FIX the main relay. Drilling holes in it only prevents it from going bad again. Get that thing out and resolder it. You won't be able to see the cracks in the solder unless you use a good magnifying glass.

If you did not resolder it then the relay is still bad. The cracks on the contacts are very hard to see. Resolder or replace with a new one and you should be fine.

lol, you can't just drill holes in the case. Thats like cleaning your engine w/ a rag to get the dust off, when really it needs an oil change.

Just get back in there and take the case OFF the relay. Then what I would do is resolder ALL the points, even if some look good, they may fail really soon in the near future, so its good to do it now before it leaves you stranded or something.

Replace or repair the main relay (as stated above, you need to redo the solder points, and you need magnification to see where they're bad). Replace the igniter. Replace the ignition coil.

Those are the 3 main culprits for a no start or stall in the heat.

Main relay, to start with. Fix it or replace it.

^^^ what they said. I've fixed two b4 and I just resoldered all the points in it, just to be sure. They've both worked flawlessly since.
