ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Trouble Changing D/S Window Regulator.

I bought one from the dealer and when I took the old one out to match, I noticed that the new one did not have a Spring Load thingy in the middle wich looks important. Now I am left to either put it all back the way it was for now or leave it like that till next week. Any help would be appreciated...Pics even better. I will post pics of the difference soon..

Well. Did some research, and it seems that the FREECKIN Dealer did not sell that SPRING thing along with the Regulator...

I just don't get the fact that if you buy a part that NEEDS a nother part.. WHy not SELL both parts TOGETHER....

Example....I bought the Valve Cover Gasket... Forgot about the 4 O Ring Gaskets for the Spark Plug holes. Guess what, I had to go back and order those too. Why not just put them in a simple One Item Number so that you pay for both at the same time and for them to come together..

    WTF!!!!!!!

      Went to the Honda Dealer....

This morning I went to the Dealer. Told the guy everything I thought on the hole spring issue. The guy calls the manager over. The manager was the guy who sold me the Regulator in the first place. He looks on the computer a bit and then takes the old regulator and the new one to his Main Tech.

The Spring part is a discontinued item. No longer used in the Regulator. They advised me to put in all back like that and it should be fine.

      We will see what happens....

This is info on this common issue on the driver side window of our CB7z. Thanks.
Here are some pics of what I was talking about.

The Spring is in the center. My thought is that is some how helps the motor.

I will fix the size of my Sig Pic today.

The spring is part of the motor assembly, isn't it?

I use aftermarket regulators. They come pre-assembled. It's a bitch to put all that together. Of course, the last aftermarket one I used damaged my door.

            Out Come!!

            Not what I expected....

After all the trouble. I changed the Regulator. And still the window does the same thing when fully closed. So, my guess is that it is not the Regulator that was the problem. My thought now is going more for the Window Frame Rubber or the Motor is weak.

It made me pretty upset. I am so glad that my DB1 Integra does not have window frames...

Also, please make your sig smaller... it takes up my entire screen.

Now the window got worse. It comes out of the track on the upper side. And it won't go down all the way. Just makes me want to SELL IT!

You need to play with the alignment... that's what happened to mine. Push the front end of it down more, and it should stay in track.
