ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Master Cylinder Problem

I wanted to know how do you take the master cylinder off to replace it. I went to the J yards yesterday and found a Honda with what looks like is a brand new looking master cylinder. I removed the brake lines and the 2 10 mm nuts but could not get the master cylinder off. I didnt want to force it so I winded up taking the entire brake booster with master cylinder attached. (had to remove the intake in order to get it out) please give me a little insight or send a thread on how to remove the Master Cylinder.

Hey I did this not too long ago but I can't remember exactly step for step. I don't remember having any trouble though. I'll go look at mine here shortly and see what all had to be done.

Hey I wen out there and looked at it and what you did should be it. 2 10mm nuts and then the two brake lines. Then it should just pull straight out as far as I remember. I don't have my manual anymore (lost when I moved) or I could just scan the pages and send them to you but it should come out right now. I haven't had to replace anything on my cb7 EXCEPT for that part and it didn't take me long so I don't remember anything happening that caused problems. MANHANDLE THAT BISH! lol. I hope you get it fixed though.

Once you take the 10mm nuts off, it should slide right out. You might have to wiggle it back and forth a little bit.

Ok. I thought you might hvae to do some wiggling. I didnt want to destroy it at the yard since it looks brand new. Also found a new speed sensor from the yards. No corrosion anywhere! The J-yards is the spot for me!!!
