ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

What type of accord do you have an EX LX or DX. If you an EX you can only do a few simple bolt ones but with the other to you can do intake manifold swap and header swap using OEM part and gain about 20 hp.

I use a ball bat. They crumple like soda cans.

norco - good tip, but you forgot the SE. And advising by trim levels isn't accurate. Some EX's had the f22a4, some had the a6.

to the OP - look around the site. there are literally hundreds of threads on what you can do to get more power out of your cb7. Learning to use the search function will improve your knowledge and standing within the site. the link NorcoAccord gave you is a great place to start. It would also help to know what all your friends have done to their crx. All of them aren't fast. I beat on several around my area, and used to beat them with my 91 Corolla with very mild mods.

i have a lx but im pushing 250,000 mile mark i really dont want to tune the motor thats in it but if the f can make good power i would just build up the motor i just dont want to dump alot of money in it and still get beat. im bringing the car back out next year in march at our import fac-off and then i will be calling them all out and hopefully i should be handing out some a-whoopings so thats a six month build and i cant afford to back track so do I save up for a h or can a f handle the task i ask of

against a stock crx? An h22 might be all you need...with some weight reduction.

With the f? MORE weight reduction plus hell of a lot of parts (cam, etc etc) about the same cost as an h22 really.

Those suckers are pretty light. Now if THEY have an h22...oh shit! better turbo.

                    heres what you do:

-a6 or H23 intake manifold swap
-a6 cam or cam regrind from deltacams
                    -full exhuast
                    -chipped p06 ECU
-and a shot of nitrous. 50hp at the least.

all of that will put you at about 160-170whp while spraying. dont do the H swap. gas is too high and unless you can find an H22 for less than $12oo and be able to put it in yourself, you'll be better off with the list i gave you

with the list i gave you above and trip to the junk yard you shouldnt have to spend more than $12oo. $300 for the nitrous kit, $100 for the chipped ECU, another $150 for a tuning session, $200 for the exhaust(an ebay one will do fine. you dont need some $500 exhaust from Apexi that will only give you a 7hp gain), and no more than $200-$300 for the stock parts for the a6 or H23 IM, a6 cam or regrind.

either that or you can get the stock kit off a 1st gen DSM(eclipse) and install it on your cb(redrill the turbo manifold), get a chipped ECU for $100, tune($150), and be pushing a good 180whp. all for less than an H22 swap.

i think the GST's parts can be used on the cb. ill ask around for you. if you want since you have it, take the turbo manifold off the GST and test fit it on your cb. wish i had a freakin GST to use for parts. lol

you should have no trouble beating them stock on stock........d15 are slow as hell..your f22 should be able to beat them anyway.

thats what i thought when my friend Rob in his '94 civic raced me. im making 125hp stock and 125-130tq. him? STOCK is 110 or 120hp. lol. and even LESS torque. but all i had was an a6 IM and a SRI. him? SRI, full exhaust, and his motor was in better condition. he beat me. lmao.

those CRX's are nothing to sneeze at when they've been modded and have a better motor in them. they weigh next to nothing with weight reduction compared to our 2300-2600lbs stock. he list i gave him, boost, or that H22 swap are about the only things that will help him in those races with those guys.

so let me get this right:

                            -a probably 15oo-17oolbs CRX with a D16 swap
                            -a CRX with a B18C swap
                            -and 2 CRX's with B20 swaps.

dude. you got somewhat of a chance. get them mad before the race so they mis-shift down the line. lmao
