ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

wow
that dumbass kid doesnt even flame good. It seems like 2fastforu is actually being pretty cool about what he wants to do~no ricing. All motor since I probablly had the most hp in an all motor f22 on here I will tell you this it is not worth the money to try to make it fast all motor. There are some cheap ways to make power though. If you get yourself a rotary tool you can port and polish just about everything from your intake mani to your head. Make sure it is all gasket matched. Have your throttle body bored by a professional since you couldnt afford the machinery to do so correctly. I would sell you my old stainless dc header for 70$ if you are interested. I would definately go standard transmission, auto's arent built for speed. Either are standards but it should drop some time off your 1/4 if you shift correctly. I would go with a more aggressive cam. If you want good deals search ebay high and low for the stuff you are looking for. I used to sell heads with port and polish and 5 angle valve grinds regularily for around 300-600$. I believe a few other people do this also. I would also replace all your hoses, get a new pcv valve there like 10 bucks. clean your egr valve, make sure your o2 sensor is clean and functioning properly. Run 93 gas in it once in a while if not allways. I wouldnt suggest nitrous because of the detonation explination but turbo is a good way to make oodles of power for pretty cheap. I was just like you once so I will say this again its not really worth the time and money to try to go n/a. get yourself a dsm turbo setup for around 1100 dollars and make anywhere from 200-350hp like nothing. Just remember you are rolling with probably only 120 or less right now because of engine age.

correct me if im wrong. but a H23a1 intake and tb bored by Maxbore, plus bisimoto intake gasket and blacktrax spacer removing the iab valves. then add a P12 ecu. wouldnt that give him quite a boost in hp and all simple bolt on? and just leave on the F22A4 header unless its damaged bc a DC might be 1 or 2hp more vs that intake might be like 12-15hp more?

no
sorry, try again. what is a bisi intake gasket gonna do for hp? it would be impossible for any intake gasket on any engine to boost more then a single hp.If someone says different then they are lying to you.P12 best bet at making 10 hp good choice.getting a h23 mani is an idea but if he bores his existing mani then he will have much better flow then any other stock mani including the a6 or h23 stock. Boring an h23 mani might make more hp but it would be somewhere less then 2 hp. Stick to the basics and you will do fine. focus on internals like cam and pistons, valves and springs, port and polish, really only good and simple ways to make a noticeable difference in power.

idk man, all that air rushing into the stock head. now if he had some head work done also along with a more aggresive cam to take advantage of all that intake work done. Theoretically it sounds like he'd have some decent gains, but then i wouldn't use a p12 anymore but a custom tuned chipped ecu.

yeah thats basically the setup im using on mine, but since the p12 was more aggressive tuned. thought it would be ok? im using a chipped p06.Originally posted by Leung View Postidk man, all that air rushing into the stock head. now if he had some head work done also along with a more aggresive cam to take advantage of all that intake work done. as for the gasket makin only 1hp. read up on it a bit.

no reading involved I am a honda certified technician and I've also got my degree in automotive engineering. Explain to me how a gasket that is smaller then a millimeter in width could possibly enhance hp. If it was made of certain materials it might be able to cool air a tiny bit but since it is only less then a millimeter it would not be able to have any significant effect on air temperature. A gasket alone also could not effect air flow in a positive way only negatively like if you put it on wrong and its blocking ports. scudweiser is also right, reduce weight anything and everything not used regularily must go.

well isn't that gasket made of some special plastic where it doesn't allow the heat from the head to transfer up to the intake to help keep the incoming air cool till it actually hits the head?
now i swore i saw someone who had just installed that blacktrax spacer and then had it dyno'd showing that their was a gain of 10hp.
on the topic of weight reduction, just get rid of the heavy audio system not the spare tire unless you're racing on the track because i wouldn't want to get caught on the side of the road without a spare.

the blacktrax may add some hp but I would guarantee that what you would gain from a gasket cooling air as I allreadt said would not be much of an advantage over you stock gasket. the air flow through a f22 is fast enough and constant enough to cool itself off rather efficiently. a tiny 1 milimeter piece of gasket isnt going to have much effect on cooling the air temp.

lets quit calling it a gasket because it looks thicker than 1mm. i think the term "spacer" is more appropriate.

now what if he went to the salvage yards and grabbed himself another iab plate, removed the butterflies and seal up all the holes, you think there would be any gains in that bootleg method?

talk about thread jack. anyways taken straight from Bisi's site. he has more than proven himself so he knows what he is talking aboutMaple50175 - you're annoying =P
Brandoncb7 - I don't mean to come across like an ass but I see why you irritate Aaron now.

yes
I know what the blacktrax is and it is about 3/4 inch thick yes and could cool air temperatures on a large enough scale to make a diifference in hp. the other thing is what I said was worthless. I am not following you quite on the bootleg question. If you sealed the (holes) how is air supposed to pass through. Maybe I am stupid here you mean the holes for the butterflies i am guessing. Its been proven to add gains yes. It is important though to make sure when you are sealing the holes to make a flush mount area between any area where air will flow over. Just make sure the holes are filled so no excess or lack of whatever you are filling with is impeding air flow. Good idea for small gains
