Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Now he's going to explain exactly what this good advice means.

    What header will give worthwhile gains? They certainly can't ALL be good, right?

    What is involved in chipping an ECU? How will that give more power? What do you need to do to make it work?

    Cam gears? What are they? What will they do? How do you use them?




    You see, his post count has already been reset once... so the next step is to be banned. I HIGHLY suggest he comes through with this information, or he won't be here much longer!

      Wow, you are such a good help.

      Why don't you explain to me:

      1. Which header you think would make a good amount of WHP for him?

      2. Chip ECU? What "chip" would you suggest, and which ECU should he use? Should he get it dyno tuned? Or should he just by one of those uber cool performance chips off of ebay that offer like 50 HP and improve gas mileage? I hear those work really well.

      3. Oh, a cam gear? What exactly does a cam gear do for performance? Is it really necessary on a stock camshaft? Which camshaft do you think would be a good option for him? What brand cam gear should he choose to go with?

      I figure since you have so much knowledge, you should be able to enlighten us all on these topics. Maybe you can provide me with some advice as to which exhaust fluids I should go with when I replace my exhaust and also tell me how I hook up my cool electric supercharger I got off of ebay the other day. This thing is gonna add like 75 HP man.

        hey ok have another ? my friend has a intergra and the computer is actin up and we cant find a intergra to get the ecu. Been on this site and readin up on ecu i learned a lil i think but can u use a civic ecu if the motors are the same. because he has a b18b1 and if im not misstaken the some civics come with the same engine.

          how can u tell

          how can u tell what head is what and does the head say what ecu that it uses. B ecause i looked on a couple of heads i got laying around and the all said p03 dont know any help would be thank full

            What heads are you comparing? All F22A heads are the same.

            As for the B18... no civic EVER came with a B18.

              The quickest, easiest, and most cost effective way to make decent power quickly is nitrous. Start reading, and start learning. You'll start to have an itch for the spray.

                  Make your own thread. This question has nothing to do with this topic, and this isn't your thread in which to change the subject.

                  If you do this again, you're banned. Forever. I don't care for inconsiderate people.




                  And to answer your question, it's only a good deal if the tranny is in good shape, and you know how to rebuild an engine. I would say for you, no, that's not a good deal.

                      If you can't figure that out... MAYBE you shouldn't be modifying a car... your life kinda depends on that.
