ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

engine is tapping/ knocking

For the knocking issue - As said above, is it a ticking or knocking noise?
Also if you can't remember or don't know when the valves were last adjusted, do them anyway.
Just remember that the F series engines do have some form of piston slap, which is often amplified when the engine is cold - Does it still knock when the engine is warmed up?
For your boost/vac gauge - You can use any of the ports on the intake manifold side of the T/B - There is usually a spare port in the Plenum which you can tap into
Yes the oil pressure sender can be fitted to the port above the oil filter, just note that once you take out the oem sender the oil light will not work. If you keep an eye on your gauges regularly its not too much of an issue, other wise I recommend getting a "T" fitting so you can have the light and the gauge.
Car Safety / General Servicing Checks --------Basic suspension checks
My 5.7 LS1 Holden Ute
A "Finished" project car is never finished until its been sold.
If at first you don't succeed, Try again. Don't give up too easily, persistance pays off in the end.

thanks again, ill get back to you about the knocking noise as im in school right now, but for the boost/ vac gauge i tapped it into one of the vac lines that use to plug into the stock intake but now with my aem one i dont need it anymore and i plugged the boost gauge to that but it does not have enough vac to push the gauge. can you show me a pic and tell me what vac line you are talking about?Originally posted by evil_demon_01 View PostFor the knocking issue - As said above, is it a ticking or knocking noise?

as for the oil pressure gauge im not worried about the engine oil light and i will just keep an eye out on my gauge but where else could i put the oil pressure sender besides the spot above the oil filter? i cannout get the bolt for that thing out so im trying to find a different spot to put the sender.

My 96 Accord has had an engine knock from the time I bought it with 45k miles until now with almost 230,000 miles. Engine is still going strong. When I first had it diagnosed, I was told it could be anything from piston slap, wrist pin knock to a rod knock. I started using Mobil 1 synthetic 10w30 in the engine and changed it every 3k miles. I'm glad I didn't discard the motor, I'm sure it will make 300,000 miles and might even keep going beyond that... It also made a ticking/tapping noise. Was definitely a noisy engine, but damn it would run!
