ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    weird problem..today

i was driving for 30-45 mins then notice the temperature gauge go normal (half way) if i accelerate and if i stop it goes up 1/4 from the normal point toward the H (3/4).

it scared the shit out of me especially during off work times (traffic)

    whats the problem now?

thermostat? clogged coolant passages or lines?

idk. weird shit happens with that gauge though.

I stopped at a 7-11 to get a quick drink, left it running. When i got out, the gauge was pinned up. I freaked and shut the car off. after a few minutes letting the fans run, the gauge was back to normal.

i started the car, and it was fine. drove home. to work the next day. No problem. Never happened again.

could be air in your lines. tripping the coolant temp sensor and making it tweak out

get a shop to sniff your rad. a exaust gas analyser will let you know if you have some head gasket issuses. if there is no exaust gasses( hydrocarbons) in the coolant hopefully it's just a thermostat or low or something

Are the fans coming on? if there's no air flowing through there's going to be an effect on the rad. It's happening to me right now, I just try to keep moving and shut the car off in heavy traffic.

another thing to remember is that if this is the only time that's ever happened, it could just have been a fluke. i've had a car do that once, and then it never did it again and i never had a problem with it. now if it does it on your next drive too...

basically if it's not going 4/4, it happens sometimes.

If u see the temp go to red, especially if u go to a store come out and its allready up there imediately shutting it down is not the best solution as coolant will boil if the engine is shut down. If u see it getting hot, rev to around 2 grand or so and let the water pump work. If that doesn't bring it down then the thermostat is either stuck shut or u have a head gasket or water pump issue.
