ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Well, mine were about $75 each (Advance Auto Parts), and if you know what you're doing, and the spline nuts come off easily, it's only 1-2 hours. A lot of us have had problems getting the spline nuts off though, so you might take it to a garage and have them spin them off and back on before you start. I ended up cutting through mine and splitting them until they came off the axles. A flat pry bar makes popping them out of the tranny very easy.

You'll also need to rent some tools from Advanced if you don't already have them. I think someone called it a pickle fork or something before. You might want to get some new cotter pins and some axle grease while you're at it.
P.S. Please use jackstands! LOL maybe you had planned on it but some people don't. Good luck.

jack stands - you should have these already if you work on your car
ball joint removal tool (either a pickle fork or a pitman arm puller). both may damage the ball joint, so be prepared to replace those. if the boots are ripped, replace the ball joints immediately. - free to borrow from most major autoparts stores. $5-$20 to buy.
36mm socket with a large breaker bar or impact/air wrench - the socket is also free to borrow. $15 or so to buy, i think. the breaker bar is good to have regardless. a big pipe works as well too
flathead screwdriver or punch to stake and unstake the axle nut - if you dont already have a flathead screwdriver then your not an american
new cotter pins. never reuse the old ones - they arent expensive for a ton of them
the axles themselves are about 75 a side for a remanufactured piece from most major stores. ive had the best luck with napa axles myself. other members have had good luck with napa too. id do both sides now.
if you need to replace your ball joints their 25 from honda. its not an easy thing to replace and a lot of people take the whole assembly to a shop to have them do it. if you have access to a bench vise its not that hard to do though. if the boots are ripped you need to replace the joints or you could crash. ball joint failure results in total loss of control

Well i was looking through the classifieds section on the site and i found a pair of napa axles for $60 for both. They have slight surface rust but the boots are in good condition. As for the ball joints if the boots on my current axles are broken or torn then i should replace them? Im really just getting to know my cb7 and cars and general my father knows alot but he is hardly ever home except weekends so im apologize if i sound kind of car illiterate.1991 Accord Ex F22a4 Daily Driver
