ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Even when you think you got every bolt, there is usually one more that you missed.

Have you tryed prying it apart with a large screwdriver?

LOL hahaha, oh boy I wonder if anyone else gets that one.

Seriously though it doesnt just fall off after taking the bolts out, you gotta pry it, get a screw driver in the crack and just start yanking all the way around. It'll eventually come off.

silly rabbit, those are too tiny. grab a 3/4" breaker bar and a lenght of pipe like a fence post or something. That or Impact gun

Put the car in 5th gear and have someone hold the brake when and if you go for the bigger bar. And another person putting weight over the tire if it spins.
A strong Air compressor powered impact works wonders on those stuck axle nuts...which I don't have personally, so if the car still drives, what I do is go to any auto mechanic or tire place and they will let you use their impact (bring your 1/2" drive socket), for cheap or free. Then put it back on tight enough to where you can drive it safely, but still get it back off at your garage. They get stuck on there after so many miles.

By the way, I know you got the trans off already, but FYI, sometimes you can pop it off by hooking the clutch system up and pushing the pedal to lever via the release fork.

The easiest way to remove the axle nuts is to do it with the wheel on the car and not jacked up. That way the wheel can't spin.

You have to "unstake" the axle nut first. There is a dent in the lip of the nut that holds it in place. Pry out the dent if you can and use an impact gun.
