ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

First thing I'd do is have the freon checked by a local shop, it's relatively cheap. Make sure A/C compressor is in working order as well.

If that's not the case, then I'd assume that you have a faulty temperature control unit.

    Good luck bro

Make sure you button that looks like an arrow circling in the car is on and not the other one. (Don't know specific name for button)

Next i would do, is go get your freon tested as dragtek1 said. Most problems come from not having freon in the line. If the nipple is still on the line, all you'll need is freon reinserted and you'll have an environmental fee, but it won't be that expensive.

Its called re-circulation, it pulls air from the passenger floor area instead of the vents in front of your windshield, and it should cool in either mode, recirc just blows the air at you harder, and if your vent is on feet, it loops to create colder vent temps when your ac is working.

Check to make sure the temperature knob isn't broken, second check to see if the clutch on the compressor turns on when you press the a/c button or the rear defroster. Then I would check cylindrical level like device (you might have to clean it), its on the driver side, behind the windshield washer resevoir, its kinda in the fender in front of the wheel. If you have freon in your system you should see a bubble through the window, no bubble = no freon. You can also get a blacklight sensitive dye to add to your system when you retrofit 134a, which isn't harmful to the enviroment like r12, which your system was designed for. If after you recharge the system, it stops blowing cold, take a black light to all the a/c lines and the compressor and find the leak (most likely the compressor itself). Then replace/fix whatever the leak is coming from.
