Anyway, our cars, when brand new, made 125-140hp at the crank. Assume roughly 15-18% drivetrain loss. That's a range of 102.5hp to 119hp to the wheels. Some engines will produce more power than the factory states, some less. Some will grow stronger as they break in, some weaker. It IS possible that a very well maintained engine at 150k miles could be making near original horsepower... maybe even more. The possibility of any CB7 putting down more than 125whp EVER in bone stock form is highly unlikely, however.

Ok, it's 4am, and I got up at 6... worked a full day, drank beer, played halo, played guitar, and hung out with pretty girls... and I just did math. I think it's time to go to bed.

Tell me if im wrong but don't auto's and manuals pull ABOUT as hard as eachother? I remember when i first got my cb a year ago and was driving back from seattle with my new 5spd 91 A1, my brother driving his 90 auto A1 and my dad driving his 84 crx. We kina started to race in 3rd and i was just pullin on him a little bit but it seemed pretty close. That was one of my first times driving a stick but it consisted of me just romping in 3rd.

there is your answer. i have tried to run in 3rd before with my F and it isn't that great. 3rd gear is huge.
