ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

[QUOTE=RUBIO123RD;2048724]yeah i agree and another thing if it is nice in and out and the motor has 90,000 or so he says why would he let it go for just 1000 i mean i wouldnt if it was me[QUOTE]
very good point here cause if it had low miles like that it would normally be much higher in price i got my 92 4dr auto for 900 with 199k on it and it the motor went just befor 203k which started the process in me doing a swap .

Ask him why he's selling it and see if his story makes sense to you.
Also, ask him how he decided to charge $1000 for it. Who has owned it before? How long has he owned it.
Ask him "if you were buying this car, what would you like to know about it--what kind of problems might I expect in the near future?."
Ask him what happened to the original engine. could give you a clue.
Getting some of the back story is helpful in judging a used car deal from a private party/ understanding their motivation. A really skilled liar can make up a whole story but most people are not that devious that they can or want to hide something if you ask a whole series of questions.
Sometimes sellers just want to get rid of something and don't perceive a lot of value in the car so they lowball the price.
You'll know pretty quick if you trust the guy and if the story holds up.
If it *really* needs new shocks, that's like $300 right there to pay for it being done, and that could account for the low price.
