ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Pacesetter Exhaust

I can get a killer deal on a pacesetter exhaust. What does everyone think of them. How loud are they and hows the gains from one. My local performance shop can get one for $250. Is it worth it?

I have one sitting on my porch for my 3rd gen.

Pacesetter isn't a high quality brand, but they're a good deal better than the cheap "ebay" brands. $250 is a decent price. I'd rather find an Apexi World Sport 2, but I'd definitely take Pacesetter over no-name stuff.

I was actually looking at the ebay stuff but mainly just for the pipeing. I might end up getting a different muffler. I was thinking of a dual tip magnaflow. I had a borla muffler on my old CB and i loved it. Im just worried about the magnaflow not sounding good.

I have a no-name dual tip that a muffler shop put on for me... I don't know what it is, but I love it. Never once rasped, has a nice tone... I got lucky!

You can get a World Sport axleback, I know that.

I don't know many people that have been lucky with them. Me, and 93twodoorLX (who loved mine, and went to the same place to get it done... )

The place is Penn Muffler in Pennsauken, NJ... if you really wanted to come down here and have it done, they'd do it in an hour or so. They weren't cheap, though... I got a new cat as well, and I ended up paying $400! I think I got hosed... but it's been 6 years, still sounds great. No issues... So I guess it's not too bad of a deal!

Theres a shop local to me that did the exhaust on my element. They did it about 6 months ago for $250 and i brought the muffler but its already leaking. I dont think im going to go there again. Im going to try and find another local shop and get some pricing see if thats cheaper.

We have a member on here in RI or CT, I forget which... But his father owns an exhaust shop, and they have a mandrel bender. We were going to work out a deal for local members, but then I got busy and we stopped talking about it. I can't for the life of me remember who it was!
