ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Rear DISC Conversion Question

hey, i was reading through some threads a few weeks back and read something about needing some extra components to actually make the ABS functional when doing a rear disc conversion on the 90-91's. i have everything i need for the conversion but, do i need to buy a 92-93 master cylinder or ECU also for the car to recognize the rear discs and, use the ABS? yes i did use SEARCH. any info would be much appreciated, thanks

Well if you don't have abs, don't worry about abs.

Get the rear discs and a DA teg 40/40 prop valve and your done.

Go to a junkyard and find a 90-93 Integra LS
Next take the proportioning valve off
On the Integra, its located on the passenger side shock tower. (right above the tranny) It has all the brake lines going into it.
The Accord Valve is underneith the Master Cylinder. It looks exactly the same.
Now the mount setup for the Integra valve is different that the Accords.
Honda is *** and uses de-threading screws on the valve (this means it destroys the threads so you cant put it back together.) I got it re-threaded and the accord mount swapped onto it.
Valve was $15 replacing the mount was $35

Another thing you might consider is the ABS Master cylinder.
Go to the junkyard and find a 91SE or 92-93 Accord EX
Take the Brake Booster off of one of those.(big round thing)
BUY A NEW MASTER CYLINDER for 91SE or 92-93 EX (Same part)

You CANNOT use your LX Brake booster or youll end up like me.
The DX/LX Brake booster "shaft" is shorter than the SE/EX, therfor 1/2 of my brake pedal travel is spent doing nothing. Then it hits the M/S and WOW what power it has! Even from what little room I can push it.
You have to get a special brake line made to fit the ABS M/S
The rear fitting is larger (but the hose it the same size) So take a DX/LX rear hose, cut a rear M/S Brake line fitting off of a 92-97 Accord EX ABS.
Get the fitting put onto the DX/LX brake line and re-flared (this cost me $12 brake line and flare labor)
Master Cylinder was $165 from Dealer
Brake Booster was $25 from JY

            Whew! try and understand that!

The OP needs to work out weather he has ABS or not first.

A "Finished" project car is never finished until its been sold.

If at first you don't succeed, Try again. Don't give up too easily, persistance pays off in the end.

He wants to do a rear disc conversion
                He doesnt have ABS lol
But I dont think the OP kinda knows whats involved

All I can say is if you REALLY BADLY WANT ABS
                Buy an ABS equipped CB7
a 91 SE has no air bags but has ABS
