ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    what can be blocked/deleted

could someone give me a list of things that i can block off or delete that wont affect my car?

like can i block off the air boost? or the EGR, IACV, FITV?

like what all things can be removed deleted off the car (like the kinda stuff i have listed not things such as power steering and all that other obvious stuff)
You don't have to like what he did, but I would hope that you can appreciate the time, money and love that went in to the build. If you can't, you're not really an enthusiast, just another dumb kid with a car.-visualpoet

Don't remove IACV unless you don't DD the car...I't will bogg the engine down on idle when you use you Acessories.....But you can do...

Detete P/S pump and A/C pump..Just run a smaller belt from the crank to the Alternator..

    EGR block off. (plate)
    Fast Idle block off. (plate)
    Air Boost block off. (plate)

Oh and you can remove all the Cruze equipment....

I have most of the listed above with no problems...but need to buy the plates still...

Next is the ABS Delete for me...

Oh yeah you can make your own no problem.

You can also use some aluminum flashing or a soda pop container, real simple.

I rarely used it, it looked ugly in the engine bay, and took up too much room.

You can blank off the IACV if you don't mind the idle speed dropping with auxilliary load (which causes vibration), but this problem can be lessened by raising the base idle speed to a point that when the idle drops (with AC use etc) the idle doesn't drop so heavily into the vibration red zone.

Blanking off the IACV is only useful for manual gearbox cars, and makes gear shifting much more pleasant, faster, more predictable, more accurate and thus smoother. This is because the IACV momentarily permits significant airflow to bypass the throttle plate after the throttle plate has been closed, causing the rpm to momentarily 'hang' at higher rpm, and to then drop more slowly (than would be the case without the IACV functioning).

I believe this is an emmisions control measure, but it messes with the 'drivability' of the car. Try it, if you don't like it then remove the blanking plate.

Yes, it's easy, just make sure there are no air leaks.

Don't disable the IACV by unplugging it, this causes a CEL, and also causes a problem with injector cut out on the overun and very light throttle that makes the engine behave in a harsh and unpleasant manner (try it, you'll see what I mean).
