ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    whatt is wronggg?? =/

ok i drove to work just fine.... parked it... on my first break i went to check my fluids (like i always do) went to turn on and nothing i disconnected the negitive put it back on and i saw that my dome light came on... hmm i was thinking that it was just a bad connection so i went to turn it on.. my radio was on dome light was on electronics was just fine then i went to turn it on and everything just shut off and no crank or nothing just blank..... i went to the negitive again and disconnected it and connected it again and again..... dome lights door lights everything was working but when i go to start it everything would shut off.. so finaly i disconnected both prongs negitive and positve poked arounddd made sure everything was good. put both prongs back on and IT STARTED! i was like wtf? i got no jump nothing so my battery wasnt dead.

possible things that it could be according to friends and brothers
    1.dead battery
    2.starter
    3.loose battery cables

Yep, sounds like your cables weren't making a good enough connection. Take em off, clean the terminals and the posts.

Sounds like a bad/dirty connection. The earth cable is common for causing this fault on Cb's.

When you were trying to start your car, did it make a clicking noise, out at, or near the battery?

their right just bad connection, happened to a friend of mine the other day, everything worked fine in the vehicle electronics wise, but the connection was just bad enough not to give enough current to the starter. loose corroded cable.

*click* and everything on the dash turned off, right?

Loose or dirty battery cables, as it has been said over and over and OVER again in this thread.

A bad starter has nothing to do with the rest of the electrical performance of the car. A bad starter will either not work at all, or, more commonly, it will whir as the motor spins but doesn't catch stripped gears.

This problem is NOT your starter.
