ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Wierd Suspension

Okay so i have a problem with my suspension. My drivers side ride height is about 1/2 lower than my passengers side. This is a problem because now if i put a load in it and i hit a bump my tire is so close to the wheel hub that it could rub. It has a newer tein suspension in it. What could be going wrong for it to do that??

its probably because you sit on the drivers side. unless you always have a passenger, you will gradually compress the spring on that side.

That is common on an older worn out suspension. Did you replace the suspension or did a shop do it?

Also make sure you do your measurements on a flat surface. .5 inch would be hard to notice. Also check the tire pressure and make sure you are good....

id say worn springs or bad spring hats.

i doubt struts cause they dont determine the ride height
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

Seriously? Are you serious? I mean... for real. Are you serious?
              No.

Check to make sure everything is installed correctly. Something is definitely not right. Pictures would make it much easier to help, as well.

I've never known a single spring to sag that much, even cheap crap. A blown shock shouldn't cause that much of a dip either.

Edit: for some reason I read things wrong... it's not quite as much of a dip as I initially thought. Worn parts or a blown shock COULD be the cause. If you lowered in on stock shocks, that's most likely the case. Lowering your car on 20 year old stock shocks is extremely stupid.

on a side note, my van has been lopsided since it was bought in 99 (i call it the mad shoulder lean) and its nOT CAUSE IM FAT! lol

so a blown strut can cause that? the reason im wondering is that i thought the strut is there only for support when it hits bumps and stuff...

                whazzah devv!

A blown strut can indeed change ride height. I saw it with my own eyes on my first CB.

.5" could be done by a strut. For some reason, I was thinking 2"!

If the spring is a knockoff, breaking is possible. I mean, a real Tein could as well, but it's more likely with a knockoff. That would most likely be more of a difference than .5" though... as it would likely break somewhere in the middle... not to mention, it would make a terrible noise!
