ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

i'm in the process of getting all of the STR.T struts installed. i've only got the rear on right now (ran into problems getting the front struts off so it'll be a few more days) but it rides GREAT. pretty soft but stiff enough to reduce body roll around corners. the rears have -1.6" springs on them right now and the fronts will have -1.8".

    well worth ~300 bucks.

edit: they are not adjustable, as these are for "street" cars. designed for cars that only hit the streets. the yellows are for cars with a slightly more extreme drop and those who want to hit the track every once in a while. which is why they're adjustable.

It specifically says they're not adjustable. I may just get these for my car as my first setup. Affordable and by a very reputable brand, they should be great testing ground.

Hell yes. I hated my Skunk2 shocks. They're terrible.

What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

What springs go with the STR.T shocks? Would Koni's Sport springs fit, do you think?

to my knowledge, they don't make the koni sport springs for our accord

                  i wouldn't exceed a -2" drop with these. i'll be running -1.8" front and -1.6" rear.

So is the overall diameter of the spring coil standardized, or am I going to have to do some hunting to find the right springs to fit the STR.Ts?

For the record, I'm definitely not looking to exceed a 2" drop. I want functional cornering performance.

just buy some springs meant for your car. they come in all different lengths, you just need to find the right brand. here's jak froswhite's daily driver with H&R Sport springs (NOT oe sport. just sport).

that's -1.75" in the front and -1.5" in the rear. about perfect for anybody who drives their accord everyday but wants a lower, more aggressive stance. these would be fine with the Koni STR.T struts

Koni STR.Ts have stock spring perches like any other shock.

The good thing about them is they have a shortened shaft to give more compression travel for lowered cars.

I am going to get a set and do a full review.

Im also looking into getting a set possibly, I want the yellows but the price is fantasic for the STR.T's (orange.) Anyways I've been readin up on them mostly people with vdub's though, they are saying they are very nice and comfortable and go great with drops that aren't very aggressive. I contacted koni and they told me that the STR.T's have the same valving that is in the sports, and pretty much they are a non-adjustable koni sport (yellow) strut on half a turn firmer than full soft. The Koni rep told me that they would be a good match with my neuspeed sports. Now Im just trying to decide if I really want to spend $370 more for the yellows, Im really kind of feeling the 15mm height adjustment on the yellows.
