ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

92' ex block code and vac hoses question

i have an engine question i recently traded my ef for this 92 ex 4 dr auto and the code on the block says f22a6, i looked at chilton repair manual and it says :
    1992 dx/lx f22a1 hp135
    ex f22a4 hp125
ex-r f22a6 hp140 i know the hp is wrong in this manual, so do i have the stock engine or not and how do i found out if its the se, ex-r or 93 ex engine or is the manual wrong on that too, well this brings me to the next question about vac hoses

my number 12 hose is disconnected , its connected to the intake manifold and it seems the other end was connected to something plastic cause it has a piece of plastic in it and the hose that should connect to the engine mount control solenoid valve is connected to the bypass control solenoid valve then it goes down to were it should go... so is it wrong, the bypass control solenoid valve is on the top center of the fire wall right or em i wrong please help... thanks

You do indeed have an F22A6. The F22A4 was never offered after 1991, and the EX-R is a Canadian model, essentially identical to the US EX model. It makes 140hp.

It's been a long time since I played with an F22A, unfortunately... and I'm tired as hell... but is that possibly the IAB system that you're looking at? I could be wrong, and it's very likely...

yes that sounds like the iab black box. it is mounted under the plenum. one vacum comes from the back of the intake mani, goes down to the iab box, then there is a vacum line that goes up from iab box to a diaphram that controls the butterflies in the runners. Now ur gonna need a two prong plug for the iab box. top prong goes to a 12v wire and the bottom prong goes to ur A6 ecu pinout a17 which is a constant ground.
