ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

just adding an intake and exhaust you probably will get roughly 4-8 hp.

        Really? That's it?
122whp or so is about 143 at the crank. You barely gained 12whp.
Your engine must be tired... or the extra airflow mods are causing it to run rich.

He's untuned from what i know. A tune would give him about 15whp more.

That's all I can figure. The PT6 doesn't know what to do with the extra airflow capability of the H23 manifold and 2.25" exhaust... it's probably dumping in more fuel than necessary. Put a P06 in there and lean out the mixture a bit, and yeah, I'm sure there's more power to be had.

The P12 won't make any difference. A P14 might... but neither would be right, just as the PT6 really isn't right anymore.

A custom tune would be the best bet. No stock ECU is designed to run such a configuration.

Depends on the tuner. The more rep the tuner has for doing good tunes the more expensive it'll be. it can be from 400 about 1000+ for a dyno and tune.

I have a very similar setup (F22a6, DCsports, 60mm exhaust, H23 IM, PT6) and I've often wondered if it runs rich because I get bad gas mileage (21city, 28hwy)

Maybe a pt3 is a better stock ECU to use with the H23 IM....

i wonder if bisimoto will post dynos of their f22 research... stage 1,2,3 cam; 8,10,12 compression, etc... we all know what the bisimoto header makes.

Interesting you say that.....I ran the a6 cam and H23 intake with the stock pt3 for a little while and I got GREAT mileage then....I might dig up my pt3, unplug the vacuum for the IAB's and see how it runs like that.
