ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    *H23a1 turbo build

i messed up....to all you guys that have been helpin me today i realized that i do not have an h22 i actually have an h23 im wanting to know if they are still able to be easly swaped into a 1990 accord and if they are a good canidate to be turbo'd and built with forged internals or am i just wasting my time...

iv been told that the lower compression on the h23 is ideal for a turbo nitrous set up

if your asking this question then your still semi new to the whole turbo thing.
if you already have a h23 its def a good start. motor runs some good setups before and will continue in the future.

all depends on your plans and how you drive the engine. but def capable of making 400hp out of and easier to work with if you plan on doing your own tuning starting off. the h22's are a lil more tedious.

you mentioned internals, what exactly are your plans?

The H23 has FRM sleeves. If you want to run forged pistons, you're limited to the Mahle Gold Series pistons designed to work with the FRM sleeves... or you MUST resleeve it.

Mahle pistons are good. For the FRM sleeves, they're your only option.

If you want anything else, you MUST resleeve. If you want to make lots of power, resleeving would be smart anyway.

I will have to relook, but I read somewhere, someone used Ferrea valves, and it def needed a custom job.
the ferrera valves were bigger and needed custom work.

              From this thread:
"Even the Ferrea valve train does not work with the f22a head. If you get the Ferrea complete valve train, You have to get the setup for the F22b2, And use only the springs, retainers, and raised spring seats.

The valves are smaller than the F22a, and Ferrea and everyone else that makes bronze valve guides DOES not know the right size for the single cam.

              so make sure your good.

That was regarding an F22A, though. This is involving an H23A1.

I think cpmike had bad luck with a Ferrera valvetrain in his H22, though. I could be wrong, but I think that's what it was.

Honestly, I'd go with Bisimoto for all parts. They're small, knowledgeable, and thorough.
