ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

correct me if i am wrong but for a car that is not running boost, or high horsepower, 21/4 is perfect.

so when honda built the h22a4 and tuned it with the proper ecu and the oem exhaust for the prelude (which mostlikely the same diameter or like .25"-.5" larger AT MOST if that lol) then they werent tuning the motor to "perform right"??

if ur trying to ask what size piping would give you more horses then idk. oem is fine to me.

If you plan on upgrading your engine, wait til you purchase a new header, then have 2.5 inch or 3 inch exhaust put on.

that only applies to an extent.

to the OP, if your just running with the usual bolt ons, 2.5" will be fine for a DD H22a swap. unless you boost or have a built motor, theres no point in going 3". then you'll just be getting rasp and lose torque.

so no Teddy. bigger isnt always better.

any time homie just please....PLEASE keep your cat and get a resonator. your not building a track car so the rasp will annoy the cops and others and possibly you. especially at highway speeds. 4k at 70mph on your H22? dont think you'll like that.

what size exhaust do you have? do you still have your catalytic converter on? any resonators?

2.5" exhaust, it has some kind of high flow catalytic converter/resonator. But the thing is pretty much ANY noise that gets into the car annoys me. I prefer the music, and there's pretty much no amount of insulation that could keep the muffler's sound out of the car so I silenced it.

what kind of motor do you have? H22? F22a?

if you put a OEM cat on, it should dampen the sound down much better than that high flow cat. or you can go for one from Magnaflow. what kind of muffler do you have?
