Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    3 inch cold air intake quest.

    I've done I-H-E and am about to do some head and h23 intake mani p and p, valvetrain stuff, cam, etc.
    I recently got a sweet deal on a blox 67mm t.b. (has outside diameter of 3")
    I got a nice 3inch Fujita filter and paired it with an injen technologies hydroshield, what with living in Seattle and all (rain city).

    So I did'nt think I would have trouble finding a 3 inch CAI for our cars...
    The one I bought from Acekogyo via ebay was advertised to be 3 inches, but when it came to my surprise it was only 2.75 inch o.d. which won't work for my setup . Long story short I've contacted prolly 50 vendors of every different manufacturer, and no 3 incher. Am I missing something???

    I will prolly end up building my own if I can't nail one down.
    I know some folks are getting high gains from stock air boxes w/ drop ins. I have however decided to go with a thermal wrapped 3INCH CAI.
    Any info on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

    Have you contacted Injen? They have 3" intakes. I'm just not sure if the CB intake is 3"

      I'm running an AEM CAI for a Prelude that is 3"

      Unless you have the exhaust ports on your head modified, you're going to have a bottleneck regardless.

        Yes, the head will be modified.
        I am assuming the position of the throttle body won't be much different than stock after the h23 intake mani with blacktrax double stack spacers swap.

              There's no need to spend big buck on a name brand since you already have a filter. Just buy a ebay brand 3" intake for a prelude, the piping is all you need and it'll work fine.

                              NICE! and shiny's always good too. I didn't like the aged, and pitted aluminum on mine. So, painted it black lol.
