ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    ECU info....

So, anyone know what the ECU is that's in a stock 90 Accord LX? And what is the big gain with either the pt06 ecu or the p12 ecu? Can any of these work in my car?

If you have an f22a1/f22a4 you will have the pt3 ecu.

The EX accords with the a6 had a pt6 ecu with a more aggressive fuel map and iab control.

The p12 works with our cars i believe and is said to render about 10hp which i would assume is due to timing change or more aggressive fuel map..BUt i believe it does not have the IAB control circuit

Dunno anything about a pt06 though

So if it takes away 10 hp, why do so many put it on their cars? I hear about it a lot. Which ECU would be the best for my F22A1?

hi the pt6 is what i got find 92 or 93 and newer ex ..the p12 is harder to find here is a pic of a pt3 what you have in you cb

i got it out of a 90 ex you want it to say pt6 where it said pt3 ...the pt6 has no speed limit ,like the pt3 which is about 115 mph /112mph...and it`s the one for the intake swap the a6 motor

No the p12 adds hp not removes it but the pt6 allows use of the iab runner setup which also gain hp and when used with the f22a6 cam can also benefit you there as well

Render does not mean take away, it means create.

The stock ecu would be best for your car.

The A6 ecu only really benefits you if you have the cam and intake manifold to go with it.

Just for the record, there is no such thing as a PT06. That is either a typo, or ignorance on the OP's part.

I have a f22a6 and pt6 ecu if I got pt12 it would make 10 hp on that.

With the a6 your extra hp over the a1 is mainly caused by the intake manifold with iab's and your cam. The p12 does not allow use of the iabs..

So i think the pt6 is best for a stock a6

Ok. When I do the swap of ECU's, I'm also gonna be doing a lot of other things at the same time to get it out of the way, probably around tax time. When I do the ECU, I'm pretty sure I'm gonna get a Bisimoto stage 2 cam, cam gear, and new valve springs, get a Bisimoto IM heat shielding gasket, H23 IM, and do a port and polish all at the same time. Now I know that I'm gonna get it tuned right after this is all done, but is the pt6 ECU and the pt12 ECU able to be a plug and play kind of thing beforehand or no?

The H22 IM won't bolt up to the F22 head, but the H23 does and it probably would give you the increase in power you might be looking for. I also know that a Bisimoto heat shielding gasket for your IM would also give you a little more HP.

The p12 is plug and play, and should give you about 10 hp. If you have an auto, there is some debate over whether the manual p12 will cause problems.

If you are doing this much, get a chipped p06 and get it dyno tuned somewhere. It will plug right in and work.
