ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Is seafoaming safe?

Run it through the brake booster line. Pour about 1/3 of the can into your line while using the throttle under the hood to keep the car running. Let it idle for a few minutes, then rev it up a little until the smoke is gone.
I have heard various things about it, use it, dont use it, etc. I'm not sure what it does. Cisco (Hondafan81) explained his theory about it to me once, but I forgot what he said. I do know that he doesn't believe it's safe, and he is a VERY VERY VERY smart guy. So I'd PM him about it with any questions regarding seafoaming.

i did mine by taking off the air filter at the TB and while the car was running reved the engine to open the butterfly and poured 1/3 bottle in TB with beer bong (use old beer bong). turned off the car for like 15min then took it for a smokey drive. it was only funny cause when i came back all my neighbors were outside looking very worried.

ya jjust put like half throguh your brake booster...and then half in the tank....Originally posted by HoNdaInspire01 View PostSo anyways do I just pour 1/2 of seafoam on pcv valve with the car on right? so after that I turn off the car & wait 10 or so. Do I pour the other half to the gas tank or before turning the car on.
but when u are pouring it through ur brake booster dont put alot...take ur time with it slowly..cause if u put alot at the same time ur car can hydrolock....
overall never had a problem....runs smootherIT MAY BE AUTO BUT IT SURE RUNS FAST FOR A F22A6

I used it on my car. I put 1/3 in the tank, 1/3 in the crankcase, and 1/3 through the brake booster. Only thing was I had heard that you can rev the motor while pouring in the brake booster to keep the engine running when its about to die. Which I dont really believe you want to do, problem was that it smoked a hell of alot while I was pouring it but after I let it sit and tried running it later no smoke at all came out. So make sure you just pour very slowly when putting it in the brake booster and if you feel the engine about to die just let off, try to keep from revving your motor to keep it alive.

it's a very good thing in my opinion... the trick is when your doing the booster hose method, to not put too much in at once... its possible to hydrolock an engine w/ that stuff if you get too much in at once... (i've seen it, not pretty) i usually use one of the smaller hoses w/ manifold vacuum just to be safe, since its more difficult to suck in too much at a time...91 EX Coupe 5 Speed

i used it on both my Hondas, accord and civic. and also have done it for my e36. i do this before every oil change and so far its been great. I also was recommended to use sea-foam than any other engine cleaner from countless technicians and mechanics. and i kinda like having the smoke show, its pretty cool to see peoples faces when they see a pillar of smoke coming from the car and then i get to see their (0_0)? face lol.

well, when i got my car, the oil was completely gone out of it, i filled it, the car sat for a month, then when i came back out, the oil was gone again, maybe thats a leak i guess ya cant burn oil if the cars not running ehOriginally posted by jimwards17How big of a difference did it make? I've been thinking about using it.
but i changed the filter, filled it with oil, then some of that no smoke stuff and it might burn a quart every two months now

If your injectors are dirty or your valves have alot of miles, namely stop and go and low octane miles. Or a weak fire, too much fuel ect...The more gunk on your valves and whatnot the more using seafoam will help..
If your oil cap has alot of crap in it, use some in your oil. DO NOT REV OR RACE WITH SEAFOAM IN YOUR OIL
I highly recommend seafoam for a high mileage car.
